Biography: Marcia Ring  back

Marcia Ring, Director of Sales at E-Marketing Associates (EMA) has been an integral part of our company’s success since 2005. Her impressive track record of sales success in project management and market analysis goes back more than a decade.

Marcia received her B.A. in Business Communications, Media Arts & Merchandising from the University of Arizona in 1996, while working full-time as an Account Executive for Bratt Advertising, specializing in Tucson-area casinos. Two years later, she became the Catering and Convention Service Manager at the Rio Rico Resort and Country Club, and Sales Manager for the Sheratons’ of Tucson in 2000.

In 2002, Marcia advanced to Sr. Sales Manager for the Doubletree Hotel at Reid Park in Tucson, in charge of the Association and Government markets. Three years later, she became the Interim Director of Sales and Marketing for the Historic Santa Rita Hotel, creating innovative promotional packages and implementing new online booking initiatives.

Marcia is currently on the board of the Los Angeles Chapter of Hospitality, Financial and Technological Professionals (HFTP), as well as a member of Women in Technology International (WITI), and the Los Angeles Downtown Women’s Club. She has also been a prior Chairperson of the Military Affairs Committee of the Tucson Chamber of Commerce, a past President of the Southern Arizona Chapter of Hospitality Sales and Marketing Associates (HSMAI), and board member of the Los Angeles Chapter of HSMAI.

During her off time Marcia volunteers for Reading to Kids, an organization that stresses reading to "English as a Second Language" students. Marcia resides with her boyfriend Mike of five years, and their two cats, Frank and Sam, in Silver Lake, California.
