How to Change Your E-Mail Password & Set Up Lost Password Retrieval
To prevent unauthorized access to your account and for general security reasons, periodically you should change your e-mail password. And while doing so you can also set up lost password retrieval just in case you ever forget your e-mail password.
To Update Your Account Follow These Simple Steps:
- Login to your EMA WebMail account.
- Choose Options.
- Choose Password.
- Enter your Old Password – This is the password used in the first step.
- Choose a New Password – The password must contain at least six (6) characters and cannot be the same as your Old Password.
- Re-enter the New Password – Re-type the password used in the previous step to verify that it is correct.
- For New Password Question, enter a unique question that only you know the answer to. This question will be asked when a password reset is requested.
- For New Password Answer, enter the answer to the question entered in the previous step. This answer will be required when a password reset is requested (Note: Password Answer is case sensitive).
- Choose Save.
Reset a Forgotten/Lost Password
Once you have completed the above setup, you’ll be able to reset your password using the following simple steps:
- Go to your WebMail login page (e.g., http://webmail.yourdomain.com).
- Click on “Forgot Your Password?” link.
- Enter your login name and click Continue.
- Type in the Answer to your Password Question and click Continue (Note: Password Answer is case sensitive).
- A temporary password will be displayed. Copy this down and click Login.
- Enter “temporary” password in Enter your Old Password box.
- Choose a New Password, and then re-enter it in the box provided.
- Type a New Password Question.
- Type a New Password Answer (Note: Password Answer is case sensitive).
- Click Save.
- Click OK
