A Cutting-Edge Marketing Tool that Maximizes Your Advertising ROI

Call Tracking is a cutting-edge marketing tool that maximizes your advertising budget. By pinpointing a company’s most efficient form of advertising, all available marketing funds and efforts can be focused on exactly where its most leads and sales are being generated from. With this valuable information in hand, businesses will not only be able to increase sales and brand awareness, but will also be able to get the upper hand on their competitors.

How & Why Call Tracking Works

Instead of randomly spending money on a variety of medium with the hopes of generating new business (like many companies today are still doing), online marketing companies accurately measure how ALL customers learn about a particular advertising campaign.

For example, let’s say your company plans to test today’s marketing waters by advertising its services and/or products with Google banner ads, billboards, and print ads. As the days and weeks begin to pass, you’ll (hopefully) begin to notice an uptick in inquiries and sales. But without having implemented a Call Tracking system, you won’t know where all this new business is coming from.

What Call Tracking does is utilize separate 800#s so that your online marketing company can track specifically where ALL new business is coming from. Using the above example of Google banner ads, billboards and print ads, different 800#s would be used on each add. When a call does comes in, you’ll be able to know specifically from which ad the customer learned about your company, which in turn will allow you to reallocate your marketing budget to the most lucrative form of advertising.

Dynamic Phone Number Replacement

Whether using billboards, print ads, online banners or Google ads, online marketing companies also use dynamic phone number replacement to, once again, accurately measure response rates. Let’s say for instance that a new customer saw your latest Google banner ad on an affiliate’s website. When said new customer clicks on this link or enters the promotional URL, every phone number on your primary site will be replaced with the corresponding 800# of the original ad. So when they call in, this “Dynamic Phone Number Replacement” allows an online marketing company to let you know exactly where and how this customer learned about your company.

Detailed Analytic Reports

Call Tracking also provides detailed, real-time phone call analytic reports, which include data on call volume, routing, duration and much more. This valuable information can be accessed 24 hours a day with Google Analytics, and will allow you to get the most thorough and complete advertising research possible.

A Brand-New Facebook Feature

Pages Can Now Be Updated by Specific Location and/or Language

Having been requested by page administrators who have fans spread out over multiple cities, states and countries, Facebook just launched a brand-new marketing application. Now you can publish all of your news, links, photos and videos to people based on their location and/or language.
These highly-targeted posts will allow your business to be able to more accurately tailor its communications to a variety of demographics. This will in turn make people more likely to share said posts with their friends and family, as the increased informational relevance will create a greater interest that resonates with a powerful emotional connection.

The Benefits

Overwhelming people with irrelevant information can and does cause them to hide your updates. One of the main benefits of this application is that instead of all of your fans receiving every announcement your company makes, now you can significantly reduce the amount of news they have to take in.
In addition, once these unique posts have been published they will only be visible to those specific users who have been selected to receive them; all of your other users will never see these posts in your News Feed, or anywhere else on your Facebook profile.

Conclusion

The most dominant social-networking website doesn’t look like they’re going to be losing their edge anytime soon. In letting page administrators share their most relevant content to specific audiences around the world, companies now have even greater marketing power. Global corporations as well as local businesses can use this new application to target any promotion to any area, in any language…

Tech Tips

The Importance of Keeping Your Domain Name Contacts Up-To-Date

ICANN.org requires resellers like EMA to assure contact information associated with each domain is accurate on an annual basis. If your domain name(s) are registered through EMA we take care of this for you. If not, we strongly urge you to follow ICANN’s requirements and correct any inaccuracies. Under ICANN rules and the terms of your registration agreement, providing false contact information can be grounds for domain name cancellation.
If you manage your own domain name make sure you keep the contacts associated with it up-to-date. Here are the four contacts associated with each domain name and their roles.

  • Registrant – This is the owner of a domain name, and should be listed under the name of the business (not an employee) for safety and security. In addition, the physical/mailing address of the business should be listed in case any validation purposes arise.
  • Administrative – The domain Administrator acts as the second contact and is the day-to-day decision maker about any domain name updates (e.g., updating servers, domain forwarding, and other DNS changes).
  • Technical – This is the person who should be contacted regarding technical questions or issues about your domain name or website.
  • Billing – Those dealing will billing related issues are responsible for updating credit card information and any other billing-related domain name charges.
