Project Overview
123Notary.com came to EMA with an extensive list of requirements for
a new eCommerce solution www.123ePayment.com.
Not only did the client sell tangible products, they
needed a way to sell non-tangible products, which included
directory listings and virtual eBooks. An administration
area was also needed where they could add products,
categories, configure shipping charges, sales tax and
other items. In addition, they needed a single eCommerce
portal that could handle order and payment processing
for multiple web sites in their portfolio.
To
complicate things even further, order processing and
shipping of tangible products were handled by a third-party
fulfillment center. Because of the complexity and varied
order processing and payment scenarios, a custom solution
was deployed.
Today,
when visitors order "virtual" eBooks, the
shopping cart automatically sends them an instant email
containing a link, login info, downloading and installation
instructions following credit card authorization. If
the order contains tangible products as well, that portion
of the order is simultaneously emailed to the fulfillment
center for processing.
